{week 8} 1st day of School Ecole Marie Sharpe

yay! Grady is soooo happy picking up his girls from their first day of school....School has become that nasty 6 letter word that Grady doesn't want to hear! It means he doesn't have his best girls to play with...just his momma! Lots of adjusting here at the Watson's. Full-time kindergarten; missing both my girls! So proud how confident and happy they are to be learning.....en francais! Oh happy day to you all (oh happy day is G fav. new song!)

{deer} Williams Lake

I went outside to pick some zucchini from my garden and 2 "baby" deer were bedded down in the neighbors yard on the one side. Startled me! Then I came back out to get something out of shed and they were on the other side of me eating fruit from the neighbors tree....I'm not sure if they should still be with their Momma...but they were pretty cute! Thought I better grab a picture to so the girls....they are already getting more furry for winter....hopefully they just hide out around here. Hunting season is open soon....oh crap now they are  in our yard...I can see from my window by my computer! Probably eyeing up my garden greens. Fall is in the air....

{first day of school} Ecole Marie Sharpe

Carrigan's first day of kindergarten! she was soooo excited...she said to me that she "just loved it!" She is sooo ready for the challenge. Makenna was a little less excited...I woke her during her beauty sleep...hopefully day 2 will be more exciting when she can actually be in her classroom with her actually teacher~ they are still sorting the details!
Grady was sooo sad this am...he wanted to "go school too!" poor boy he is so used to doing everything with his sisters.

{corn picking} Dunlevy ranch in Williams Lake area

this is our 3rd year of corn-picking...we wanted to go last week but Makenna was away. So the skies parted after school this morning and we took it upon ourselves to head out to pick our corn. This is the first year that Grady would know what was happening...he loved it!( except he spit out the corn:( LOL!)
the first year we picked  grady was 6 weeks old and lied on a blanket amongst the corn. I think this year is the best cornpicking year so far....lots of sweet corn.
 I think its important life lesson for my kids to know where they get there food.
then home to husk, blanche and freeze over 50 cobs of corn....fall fun never ends~

{week 7} armstrong fair IPE

it's me that loves it that most...I love the IPE! good times in a beautiful little town. I love love armstrong such a gorgeous setting for a town. this year we had it hot hot hot again for the fair. lemonade, rides, yummy food and animals! I think we need to expand our trip to include 2 days to take it all in!

here is the crew collecting eggs and apples in the kids section. oh ya...Grady rode his first horse...grin ear to ear!

{week 6} Kin beach fun in Vernon

loving our time in the Okanagan...we love to visit (a part of me wishes we still lived here....so many  people &things I love here!:)   we took the kids to Kin beach to play in the sand since it was such a beautiful evening....

{week 5} bring on the sunshine

We are soooo happy to have it not smokey outside and to have the sunshine...think we may need to upgrade the pool; but until then loads of fun are had. Grady thought it was sooo funny that Carrigan was kicking water at Makenna....(hands covering his mouth laughing!)~he makes me laugh. sneaking a shot without them knowing.

{week 4} a purpose...

everyone has a purpose this day...working on projects for the fall fair. Grady said "me too!" every year my girls work on projects to enter. this year maybe Grady will too! this is last weeks post...busy busy time of year!

missing our friends already....our house is too quiet! We had a great visit despite the smokey conditions. Grady was asking for Payton this morning....he slept through their departure! Wow! I have sooo many great shots of this photogenic fun family....more to come.

{Williams lake} Scout Island is smokin'

On a very smokey day...what should we do...we were the only ones heading out to scout island to explore...needed somewhere to burn off some energy! Picnic in the park; came home smelling like campfire!

{grady} jump rope and popsicles...

He is all boy....except that he has 2 lovely big sisters....so he tries to keep up with them all the time. He is chillin eating his popsicle and wearing his sisters crocs...(he has a thing for his sisters shoes:)!) and then he decided to show me how he can jump rope. He was sooo pleased with himself.  He is growing up way to fast for my liking...but not fast enough for him before long he will be able to do everything they can do and maybe more. (don't mind his messy clothes;yes that is popsicle drip all over his clothes...my motta is a dirty kid is a happy kid!)

{apples} summertime treat

Carrigan loves hanging out on her "rock" she spends hours playing on it. Today she was outside picking apples while I was watering. I snuck in to grab my camera and catch a couple of shots of her. She loves to be my model.....she is loving her new haircut! Short and sassy....

{week3} pea patch

Busted!

Mmmmm...decided to raid the pea patch today....wow they were sooo plump and yummy. A great afternoon snack...love how Grady just pushes his way in between his girls to get in the middle of whatever they are doing....

okay just one more....needed a shot of the backside....typical day at my house...girls dress themselves (hopefully hair is brushed!) and G...well here he is bottomless; working on potty training outside; not sure that he is getting it~

{flowers} Williams Lake

this is how the flowers grow in my garden.....not too bad for a bunch of seeds mixed in with our veggie garden. the hummingbirds we're enjoying it today too!

A Tuscan Lady {Whidbey Island}

This place is a little corner of heaven all lovingly cared for by an amazing lady named Darla. She has the most amazing gardens with a lovely pond flowing through it. The two homes on the property the Casa and the Villa are works of art. Every detail is amazing in itself.  I hope one day to return...

I just love love love a new photoshop tool that I got...sure helps in albums design and blog posts etc.... I ordered some great storyboards of my beauties from the above photos...can't wait to see them! Another look at their pretty faces.

{week 2} money

keeping with my weekly post of a picture with my three children in it...here we are opening their first bank accounts. first: count all money is piggy banks. then here is Makenna signing her card for her account.

Grady traded the lady at the teller his "hockey money" for a sucker...he was thrilled with the trade. Then we received a tour of the "vault".  I don't think our change jars will be safe ever again....

Finally we got to Makenna's 7 year old photo shoot. I wanted to do it before she got a haircut for school. She is growing up sooo very fast! Grade 2 in September. Happy 7th Birthday girlie! xoxoxo

{Week 1} summer fun

I've decided to start a weekly (not daily!) photo of day to day life my children. Inspired by other photogs whom seem to do a great job of capturing those little moments in life...
Today it was smokey outside due to forest fires....so I kept the kids in most of the day. Except for a popsicle break. Mmmmm our homemade healthy popsicles; recipe is in a blender place 1 cup cottage  cheese, 1 cup yogurt, 1 cup tofu,  orange juice, fruit and blend till smooth.  Add chunks of fruit to bottom of popsicle containers. Mmmmm healthy yummy summer treats!

there was loads of candids from trying to get this shot....then someone stood behind me and bounced on the dock I was kneeling on....not a good idea for a clear picture....but ended up with a couple good ones.
