{Week 1} summer fun

I've decided to start a weekly (not daily!) photo of day to day life my children. Inspired by other photogs whom seem to do a great job of capturing those little moments in life...
Today it was smokey outside due to forest fires....so I kept the kids in most of the day. Except for a popsicle break. Mmmmm our homemade healthy popsicles; recipe is in a blender place 1 cup cottage  cheese, 1 cup yogurt, 1 cup tofu,  orange juice, fruit and blend till smooth.  Add chunks of fruit to bottom of popsicle containers. Mmmmm healthy yummy summer treats!

Summertime lake fun....

my 3 best girls loving the beach at Nana and Grandpa house...this is why I love summer days at the lake!

Khaleb was the guest of honor that spurred this little family BBQ! His Dad is my cousin...and they live toooo far away...it's been too long since we've seen them. Look at all those good looking kids!

Lake time naps

Grady

Grady loved exploring and discovering new things at the sea. Here he is with a mussel shell. He called all shells "snails" from being at Gramma's in Vernon (she has snails in her garden!) Funny how he could be afraid of the sand on his feet but he had no problem picking up shells, jellyfish and seaweed!

park in Plymouth....

my beautiful girls by the sea....

Grady at Chapel Porth....

okay I should have put the camera down and picked him up....but I thought it was cute...he was following me out and didn't realize the tide was coming closer...before long he was splashing and running in the water. Poor Grady everything was sooo new to him...I wish I had the pictures of him walking in the sand the first time; very upset! LOL!

Grady

Just going through my England pictures...came to this one! I just love it. It was on our sunset coastal walk...Grady was filling his pockets with rocks. He is such a boy thru & thru!

Makenna is 7!

My sweet daughter turned 7! Wow! how times flies. We had a little surprise luncheon after the stampede parade for her. She is missing her best friend O who is on her way to Disneyland. We will plan a little girly party when she returns. Grady was so happy to have a birthday. he is next....july 11th....

84th Williams Lake Stampede

We love the stampede...always hit the parade and take in the rodeo...this year the kids loved the rodeo so much we went twice. Here is my Carrigan; dressed for the part!

sunset hike...

For summer solstice evening....me and the children...took a hike along the coastal path to watch the sunset. We chose a grassy patch away from the cliff edge. Grady had fun running around throwing rocks and filling his pockets. While we had a late picnic and watched the sunset. Good times~

my amazing children...

I don't know if you know...but we have the most amazing children....Makenna, Grady & Carrigan! They were the best travelers. It was such a pleasure to experience the magic of traveling with them. It was great to see England through their eyes! Simple pleasures....from watching the tide come in, to seeing Grady being afraid of the sand, and to trying new treats! Mmmmm pasties, fanta, hula hoops...some of our fav's!) I hope they will always have fond memories of Cornwall and return one day with their children.....
